At Close to Home Inspection Services we firmly believe the inspection process should be a learning experience for our clients, especially so, if our clients our first time home buyers. We encourage all of our clients to follow along throughout the inspection to learn about the different systems and components of a given property.

A general home inspection is a non-invasive visual inspection of a given property's systems and components on the day of the inspection. Every property consists of different systems that include; structure, roof, electrical, plumbing, heating, air conditioning, interior and exterior. Each one of these systems is comprised of individual components and a general home inspection will covers all of those systems and components which are accessible to the home inspector.

Throughout the inspection our inspectors focus on the following:

• Is everything operation at this time?

• Is the home safe?

• Are the components installed in a professional manner?

• Are there deficiencies or signs of potential failure?

• Should small things be repaired or replaced now to
  prevent large expenses in the future?

A typical home inspection takes approximately 2 -3 hours and at the conclusion of all of our inspections we provide our customers with multiple copies of a written report.  The home inspection reporting system that we use was designed by leaders in the Home Inspection Industry in order to provide our clients with a highly professional, easy to read and informative report.
